Privacy Policy

Delete My X does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. There is no server, no database, and no analytics. Everything runs inside your own browser.

How it works

Delete My X is a browser extension that automates actions in the X (x.com / twitter.com) tab you are already signed into — the same deletions you could perform by hand. Your posts, your login session, and your cookies stay on your device and are never sent to us. We have no backend that could receive them.

Data we collect

None. We operate no servers and collect no personal information. The extension stores your settings and run progress (what you chose to delete, how far it has got) locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. This never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Third-party services

The only outbound request the extension makes — other than acting on x.com itself — is license validation. If you purchase and enter a license key, that key is sent directly from your browser to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to verify it is valid. Payments and license issuance are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record, under their privacy policy. We never see or store your payment details.

Permissions & why

storage — save your settings and run progress locally so a run resumes after a reload.
alarms — let the background watchdog resume a run if the tab crashes or freezes.
declarativeNetRequest — block images/media on x.com only while a run is active, to keep memory low and avoid crashes.
Access to x.com / twitter.com — required to perform the deletions in your own X tab.
Access to api.lemonsqueezy.com — used solely to validate your license key.

Data sharing & sale

We do not sell, rent, or share your data — because we never collect any.

Children

Delete My X is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Effective” date above will be updated.
